Support our urban creek and trail stewardship efforts by planting, weeding, and mulching near the Mayflower Bridge, Whatcom Creek, and WeGrow Garden! Our friends at NSEA will be joining us for this work party. 

All ages and abilities welcome. Participants under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Tools, gloves, and instructions are provided. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.

Help us steward this darling green space near Western Washington University. We’ll get rid of invasive plants, add some native shrubs, and work to keep this park healthy and beautiful.

Parking Instructions:

Please park at the south end of the west "C" parking lot on WWU's campus. Please see this map for more info on where the "C" lots are located. Look for our work party parking signs.

After you have parked, please follow our work party signs for a short 1/2 mile walk up to our work party check-in tent. See this Google Maps walking route for directions.

Connelly Creek, which runs through this neighborhood park and flows into Padden Creek, needs our help! We’ll remove harmful invasive vegetation and plant native trees and shrubs to improve riparian habitat.

Parking is a short 9-minute walk down the street from Happy Valley Park at the South Bellingham Park and Ride (West). Follow our work party signs and walk to Happy Valley Park at 2710 Donovan Ave.
